HYDERABAD: P Shankar Rao, who has been unceremoniously sacked from the Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet, has said his exit from the cabinet is the result of a conspiracy hatched by Kiran Kumar Reddy and AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad, and said he will approach party president Sonia Gandhi to urge her to undo the injustice meted out to him.“I would like to know what crime I had committed to be sacked the way I was.I am not able to come to grips with the fact that I have been sacked.Had I been asked to resign, I would have gladly handed over my resignation letter to the chief minister,” he told newsmen here on Thursday,” he said.Rao said that his sacking from the cabinet proved that it was difficult for those who fight against corruption to survive for long.“To kill a dog, it has to be branded first as mad. This is what has happened in my case,” he said.Shankar Rao said he would remain loyal to the party and would redouble his campaign against corruption.
