BANGALORE: Efforts are being made to hold elections for the post of president and executive committee of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) shortly.Hectic lobbying has already begun for the post of president of the KFCC. According to Gandhinagar experts, the post of president is held on rotation basis among producers, exhibitors and distributors’ segments. As of now, Basantkumar Patil is representing distributors’ segment. Now, it is the turn of exhibitors’ segment to elect one among them as the president in the elections slated to be held in the third week of September.The KFCC elections were supposed to be held in April but delayed by five months. Before Patil, Jayamala was elected as president of the KFCC and continued as president for two years. According to reliable sources from the industry, K V Chandrasekhar, from exhibitors’ segment, is set to be elected as the new president of the film chamber of commerce unanimously.
