Karunanidhi too wants Central forces

CHENNAI: DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Sunday urged chairman of the Empowered Committee for Mullaiperiyar Dam to remove Kerala police from the reservoir site and deploy Central Security Forces there. He has sent a telegram to this effect to Justice A S Anand. He has also requested the panel not to entertain Kerala’s demand to reduce water level in the reservoir from 132 ft to 120 ft and added that it should implement SC’s order to increase the level to 142 ft. Further, he requested it to prevent Kerala from instilling fear in the minds of its people.
