Srinagar: Three ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops were reported on the eve of the 69th Independence Day.
Pakistan on Friday evening resorted to unprovoked firing with 60mm mortars in the Hamirpur sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, in the day, Pakistani troops pounded Indian posts and civilian areas along the LoC with 82 mm mortar shells and fired from automatic weapons in Poonch district.
There have been more than 45 ceasefire violations in the last 45 days.
