Jharkhand government to set up panel for women security

The Jharkhand government would soon set up a committee to look after the security of women in the state through awareness campaigns. Directing to set up a committee on women's security, Chief Secretary RS Sharma said that the panel should embark upon awareness campaigns among the women on their security in the state, an official release said in Ranchi.

Chairing a meeting attending by Home Secretary NN Pandey and Social Welfare Secretary RA Ekka, Sharma also suggested to install CCTV at strategic points, it said. He also asked to organise workshop in villages to make the women aware of self-defence.
