Jayalalithaa opens facilities for tourists

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Thursday inaugurated several facilities for tourists coming to Tamil Nadu. The facilities, established at a cost of Rs 6.82 crore, was inaugurated through video-conferencing at the Secretariat.

The facilities inaugurated by the CM are located at Madurai, Azhagar Koil, Tranquebar, Gudalur in Nilgiris district, Sreepuram Golden Temple near Vellore, Kottaikavalpuram in Kanchipuram district, Ratnagriswarar temple, Hogenakkal bus stand and Erode Kodiveri dam. She also launched four tourism packages to Nagarathar temples, Thirukkadaiyur temples, Srirangam and Tiruchy temples and birthplaces of freedom fighters.   The CM also inaugurated a new initiative to book lodging and tourism packages.
