PUDUCHERRY: “Did you say paper?”, is an exhibition, which will showcase products made from the innovate use of cotton and paper, at the Citadines Art Gallery at Auroville (behind town hall) from Saturday to January 30.‘Auroville Papers’, a 14-year-old company behind the show, has developed novel ways of using cotton and paper. What started out as a project to make handmade paper soon progressed into more creative and artistic products .From up-market stationary, it expanded into home decorationyear, the team has been focused on unleashing their imagination to the greatest possible extent using cotton and paper with additional help from thread and a few light metallic structures to create amazing things, which will be exhibited this Saturday. The techniques had to be adapted, modified or invented as they went along. “Cotton and paper you will see, but you may not recognise it. You will be transported into a poetic and even humorous universe of unexpected forms, colors, textures and harmonies,” said the creators.
