New Delhi: In the Israeli embassy car blast case, the Delhi Police have said Syed Kazmi, one of the accused, was a point-person for the conspiracy. According to the police, Kazmi lent logistical support to three Iranian nationals suspected of executing the attack that seriously injured the wife of an Israeli diplomat.
He was arrested on March 6 in connection with the February 13 blast. A delegation of MPs led by Trinamool Congress's Sultan Ahmed had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday to demand his release.
The PM had assured them that Kazmi would get a fair trial.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police had on Thursday confirmed Iran link to the embassy car attack case and had identified three Iranians who were allegedly involved in the terror attack that left a diplomat's wife injured.
A court had also issued non-bailable warrants against them.
