The officials received a tip-off about the illegal trade and smuggling of wild animals from Tiruvannamalai to the neighbouring states. Based on information, officials attached to WLCB approached one of the gang members as a prospective client. The undercover man caught the offenders red handed at Mel Chengam, said Tiruvannamalai Ranger Karunakaran.
