Indian good-will delegation on a journey through Pak

New Delhi: For the first time after the 26/11 attacks, a delegation of Indian artists, activists, academicians and journalists crossed over to Pakistan, from the Wagah border in Amritsar.

The goodwill visit, led by emminent journalist Kuldip Nayyar is aimed at reinstating the peace process which has been hampered by the Mumbai terror attacks.

The 14-member delegation includes noted filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, historian Salman Haider and social activist Swami Agnivesh.

They have asked Pakistani authorities to not let its soil be used for terror. The delegation, set to return after 3 days was received by noted Pakistani human rights activist Asma Jehangir.

The delegation will return on February 26, and while in Pakistan will urge the government there to ensure that the India-Pakistan peace dialogue should not reach a point of no return.
