Student participants from over 10,000 schools is what makes Horlicks Wizkids 2012 by Krayon,  South Asia’s largest inter school fiesta. Unveiled on Tuesday, the two-day event, converted the Kamarajar Arangam into a dream factory.

No matter what hidden talent the kid has, here was an opportunity to bring it out, as Horlicks Wizkids provided a platform to participate in art, literature, cultural and fun competitions such as style act, musical play, speaker of the year, air crash, the melodious band, 30 seconds to fame, comic strip making, face painting, Horlicks little chef and many more.

Azeez, a contestant from Velammal International School, said that it was a great experience to be part of it. He said, “We debated on a wide range of things ranging from Anna Hazare to cricket to policemen. It was an interesting experience as we tried to prove our point of views, while listening to others.”

Horlicks Wizkids is the flagship event of Krayon, the event management division of EduMedia.

The palpable excitement in air was matched by the words of  Tabassum Modi, the Head, Krayon and the Executive Director, EduMedia India. Modi summed up, “The excitement level generated by this event is incomparable to any other event. Combined with fun and learning, this event gives kids an opportunity to showcase their talent in myriad streams.” Talking about their journey and their vision of  Horlicks Wizkids, Syed Sultan Ahmed, MD of EduMedia said, “Ten years ago we started Horlicks Wizkids with a vision that all kids have a talent, it’s important to discover it.”

The South Asian final winners will win a five-day trip to Africa and scholarships worth `1,00,000 each.

The event was kicked-off at Bangalore and  will move from Chennai to  Coimbatore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Cochin among other cities over the next two months.
