New Delhi: Six-time Indian champion, Saurav Ghosal added another feather to his cap on Monday after he registered a comfortable victory over his Pakistani rival Yasir Butt 3-1 to become the new 'Windy City Open Squash 2012' champion.

In the finals, Indian top seed and ranked 27th in the world, Ghosal overhauled Pakistan's number 2, Butt 11-8, 15-13, 10-12 11-5.

Earlier, Saurav signalled the end of the road for title-holder Olivier Pett when he beat the English qualifier in four games in the quarter-finals.

The Indian then got the better of the fourth seeded Scot Alan Clyne 11-4, 11-5, 11-6 to enter the final of the tournament.

Yasir had come out all guns blazing in the finals with a rally of precision short shots catching Ghosal off guard and taking early leads in all the games.

But Ghosal was up to the task and retrieved the shots, which stopped Butt from playing to his strength.

He continued to play his patient rallies and tired out his opponent before coming from behind and winning the first and second games. Yasir won the third game, which was closely fought.

Saurav was quick to nail Yasir in the fourth game to win the contest.

The win at the Windy City Open Squash is one the biggest PSA titles that Saurav has won in his career so far.

He will play his next tournament in Richmond Virginia from February 20.
