New Delhi: Police on Tuesday arrested four Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants from Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama and Baramulla districts.
A group comprising three militants, led by released militant Mushtaq Ahmad Khan was detained in Bandipore area of Baramulla in a joint operation with BSF, reported sub-divisional police officer of Bandipore Ghulam Geelani to PTI.
Released in 2004, Khan had formed a group along with Arif Hussain Tali and Naseer Ahmad Tali alias Yasir from Sopore area.
The group, linked with the LeT and was responsible for a number of blasts in Sopore last year.
Another LeT member was arrested from Pulwama's Tahab area, 40 kilometre from Srinagar.
A hand grenade, detonator and a packet of RDX were recovered from his possession.
The number of LeT militants arrested since Monday has gone up to six. Two guerrillas of the group were nabbed from Budgam district along with two AK rifles, six magazines, 160 rounds, a grenade and a wireless set on Monday.
