EXCLUSIVE | Jammu Becomes New Terror Hotbed, Deployment of Security Forces Being Relooked At

Jammu is going to be the new war zone with terror groups trying to target the area. Sources have told News18 that security forces will take a relook at the deployment to tackle new terror hotbeds.

According to top Intelligence sources, with the drying up of sources and on ground workers in South Kashmir, terror groups had initially started looking at North Kashmir and after domination in North Kashmir, they have now started entering from Jammu.

The Jammu terrain is a difficult one with huge ups and downs in the mountains and movement is, hence, easy for terror groups.

Sources say that these groups are based in Bagh and Alibad opposite Poonch and forward Kathua. Opposite Rajouri, they are in Tattapani, Hajira, Nikial, Kund Samani and Kot Kotera.

They start in groups of 10-12 and once they enter Poonch, Rajouri, they make their bases in the villages where the strength is only 5-10 members. By the time, these villagers come to know and inform local forces, they are delayed by two days and the groups are moved to different locations.

These terrorists are fighter grade and trained for mountain war by Lashkar under Sajid Jat, sources said. The ISIS wants these groups to unsettle Jammu which is Hindu dominated and peaceful. Sources say the ISI also knows that security forces in India are not fully equipped with handling of full proof cover to Jammu.

The Indian government is very clear that before it goes from bad to worse, action should be initiated. Home Minister Amit Shah in his meeting with the officials of Jammu and Kashmir made it very clear that domination is important for peace in Jammu.

There is a possible reshuffle in security forces and Jammu will be made an important commitment for the forces with more deployment.

Earlier CNN-News18 had reported how after getting security funds from China for CPEC, a part will be diverted to Kashmir jihad. According to top intelligence sources, this is the compulsion of the ISI to keep Kashmir jihad on because lakhs of terrorist are sitting idle after Afghanistan takeover by Taliban.

To stop these terrorists from creating problems in their country, they need to deploy them in the areas where they can deliver something.
