HYDERABAD: Senior Congress leader and former minister Seelam Siddha Reddy died at his residence heere on Monday. He was 82. Siddha Reddy, hailed from Banigandlapadu at Errupalem in Kahamamm district, served as a minister in 1967 and as PCC general secretary from 1960 to 1970. He had been suffering from oldage problems for the last few months and his health deteriorated in the last few days.
Chief minster N Kiran Kumar Reddy, former ministers Ramireddy Venkata Reddy and JC Diwakar reddy, and minister Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy visited his residence at Khairatabad early in the morning and enquired about his health. Just hours later, Siddha Reddy breathed his last.PCC president B Satyanarayana recalled Reddy's discipline in public life and commitment to the nation and the party.
