Elections for Rajya Sabha scheduled

HYDERABAD: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced schedule for elections from AP to Rajya Sabha. This is to fill up the six vacancies arising out of retirement of members.Notification was issued on Monday and no nominations were received on the first day. The last date for nominations is March 19 and the poll, will be taken up on March 30. The rajya sabha members who are retiring on April 2 are K Keshava Rao,  Dasari Narayana Rao, Rashid Alvi and G Sanjeeva Reddy (all from Congress party), M V Mysoora Reddy (TDP) and Azeez Pasha from the CPI.
