The management of the Susi Emu Farm Pvt Ltd blames Perundurai DSP Gunasekaran for the mess it finds itself in, according to advocate BB Mohan, the defence counsel of MS Guru, owner of the firm.
During the argument on Guru’s anticipatory bail petition in the district court, Mohan alleged that a news item against the DSP for allegedly violating some norms of the firm were published in a magazine. Since then, he vowed to close down the firm. Once some persons picketed the firm on August 6, he sought a complaint from one Chinnasamy of Dharapuram that the firm refused to give back his money though two months notice should be given to get back deposit money. Chinnasamy had invested on June 30.
The DSP immediately told the media that the firm was closed following thousands of complaints against it. This created more flare up. The firm faced problems this month due to remittance of `1 crore to I-T department. The department had also blocked its funds. Only after registering such complaint, 2,150 petitions were received by police, Mohan added.
