AIIMS said that since CAT ruled against Gupta, he should not continue as the head of department.
New Delhi: Former head of the Forensic Department at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Dr Sudhir Gupta on Tuesday moved the High Court after his appeal was rejected in the Central Administrative Tribunal.
AIIMS said that since CAT ruled against Gupta, he should not continue as the head of department.
Gupta had alleged that AIIMS decision to sack him was taken because he refused to alter his autopsy report in the murder case of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar.
Gupta said, "AIIMS Director MC Mishra is trying to appoint someone else. I don't think he has the Union Health Minister's approval. AIIMS Director should reply in the High Court as AIIMS is party to the case."
