In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old man was arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly spying on his tenant using cameras which he installed in her bedroom and bathroom when she was in her hometown.

A total of three spy cameras and two laptops have been recovered from the accused, identified as Karan. According to sources, the victim, who is a UPSC aspirant, used to give the keys to the house to her landlord whenever she used to go back to her hometown.

The incident came to light when the accused started to pressurise the victim to give him entry into the house on the pretext of electric repair so that he could extract data from the spy cameras. Notably, the cameras were not connected to a network and data was stored in a memory card.

Following the landlord’s stubbornness, the victim got suspicious and checked her house where she found that a camera was placed in her bulb holder.

Upon finding out the presence of cameras in her house, the victim filed a police complaint and police launched an investigation into the matter.
