BANGALORE: As per the Supreme Court directions, a special round of COMED-K Medical counselling will be held on June 29, to fill the 41 seats that were left vacant during the Post Graduate Medical Counselling.According to A S Srikanth, chief executive COMED-K, the last date for admissions of students was on June 1, which was fixed by the Medical Council of India. Pursuant to a writ petition filed by Private Medical College Association, the Supreme Court has permitted COMED-K to hold a special round of counselling.The seats are available in 8 medical colleges in Karnataka and the schedule is as follows: ■ Candidates who have qualified in the COMED-K held earlier this year, will be given first preference■ Candidates who have qualified in the COMED-K held Entrance Test in February, 2011 and not taken seats earlier be given first preference in the order of merit.Session I Registration -10.30 AM to 11.00 AM: Counselling COMED-K candidates 11.30 AM to 01.30 PM.In the event of any seat remaining unfilled after session I, candidates who have qualified in the RGUHS PGET-2011 but have not chosen seats there, will be given second preference in the order of merit; Session II Registration 1.30 PM to 2.00 PM: Counselling RGUHS Candidates 2.30 PM to 04.00 PM.Even after Session II, candidates who have qualified in any other concerned State PG Entrance Tests will be given third preference in the order of inter-se merit.Session III Registration -4 PM to 4.30 PM Counselling 4.45 PM to 6 PM: The candidates who meet the above requirements can attend the counselling on Wednesday, 29 June 2011 at the office of COMED-K.
