HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam will contest all the Assembly seats for which bypolls will be held in the state and hopes to win at least two in Telangana.Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu, after returning from his Rytu Poru Bata on Friday, began the preliminary exercise of consulting district leaders on the bypoll, considered to be a mini-general election.The exercise will continue till December 23.Naidu met leaders from Mahaboobnagar district where bypolls for Kollapur, Mahababoobnagar and Nagarkurnool seats are due.The party is in favour of fielding former law minister P Chandrasekhar from Mahaboobnagar and Jagadeeswar Rao from Kollapur, and is still in search of a suitable candidate for the Nagarkurnool seat with its Politburo member and MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy resigning from the party as well.Naidu formed a fivemember search committee to identify a potential candidate in place of Nagam.During the discussions Naidu told party leaders that he was never against formation of a T state. He had not uttered a word against the T-sentiment and gave a free hand to Telangana leaders to take up programmes as per the aspirations of the people of the region, he said.
