Case registered against Rajasekhar and Jeevitha
Police has registered cases against the couple under several sections of the CrPC, including section 306 and 423.

Acting on the orders of a metropolitican magistrate, the Banjara Hills police on September 13, registered cases against Tollywood couple Rajasekhar and Jeevitha Rajasekhar for allegedly not repaying a loan.

According to inspector Chandrasekhar Goud, complainant Y Surender Reddy, a film producer, claimed to have arranged a loan for Jeevitha Rajasekhar to make a film titled 'Mahankali' starring her husband Rajasekhar, Madhurima and others.

As per the deal, shooting for the film was to be completed within nine months. Surender Reddy said he arranged with one Vallabhaneni Ashok to provide a loan of Rs 1.5 crore to Jeevitha for making the film.

As Jeevitha failed to repay the amount, Surender Reddy approached the court to register cases against the couple.

Jeevitha told Express that Ashok was demanding a repayment of Rs 3.6 crore including interest. "There were some interruptions in the film and it was delayed. A few days ago, Ashok approached me and asked me to pay him Rs 3.6 crore. Since then, he started harassing us."

Police registered cases against the couple under several sections of the CrPC, including 306 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) and 423 (dishonest or fraudulent execution of deed of transfer containing false statement of consideration).
