BJP urges President to sack PC, Krishna

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party, on Saturday, staged a demo outside the main post office demanding the resignation of Home Minister P Chidambaram and External Affairs Minister S M Krishna for their alleged involvement in corruption scams.The members, led by the Puducherry unit president SPK Damodaran, initiated a campaign to send telegrams to President Pratibha Patil urging her to remove the ministers from the cabinet. They added that the public would be continuously encouraged to send as many telegrams as possible to the President on the issue.While the Congress had demanded the resignation of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa even before an FIR was filed, the party was shying away from asking its own ministers, against whom serious charges of corruption had surfaced, to step down, they said.
