The deceased man's wife has lodged a case against the woman for the murder of her husband, the police said.
Patna: A woman set on fire a man who had allegedly raped her in Soiya village in Patna district, police said on Tuesday. The woman caught hold of Bhola Thakur allegedly after he had outraged her modesty on Monday night at her home and poured kerosene on him before allegedly setting him on fire with a matchstick, the sources said.
Thakur died on the spot, they said, adding the body has been sent for post-mortem.
The woman, who was trying to flee after fatally setting the suspected rapist on fire, was arrested by the police on Tuesday, the sources said. The deceased man's wife has lodged a case against the woman for the murder of her husband, they added.
