KG Balakrishnan stresses the need for special hospitals for endosulfan patients in Kerala.
Kazargode: National Human Rights Commission(NHRC) Chairman Justice K G Balakrishnan on Saturday emphasised the need for super speciality hospitals to treat people affected by the use of pesticide endosulfan.
Speaking at the interface programme with the victims of endosulfan here, he pointed out the need for special package for the treatment of children affected due to the use of the pesticide.
Balakrishnan said he would bring the attention of the Central Agriculture, Health and Environment ministries on the results of the use of the pesticide.
Balakrishnan interacted with over 20 affected persons and was slated to visit in the afternoon, among other places, Padere, Enmakage and Bellur areas which have been affected by the pesticide.
