Alleged 'murder' during Ganesh idol immersion caught on camera, goes viral

Bengaluru: A video showing the alleged murder of a youth during Ganapati idol immersion in Gulbarga district of Karnataka has gone viral. At first it was registered as an unnatural death and prima facie seen as accidental death by drowning.

Someone in the crowd who was recording the visarjan, felt something amiss and showed this video to the mother of the victim. Thereafter his mother lodged a complaint with the police.

The police are probing the case as a murder now saying he was out with his friends. Maintaining that they need to dig deep into the probe, the police is analysing the video frame by frame. They are also trying to find out the motive behind the murder.
