HYDERABAD: The three-day food 360 degrees conclave being organised by FICCI from November 20 to November 22 in the city, will showcase the huge potential for developing the agribusiness / food processing industry in South India with a view to forging global linkages. The effort would be to expose delegates to the global and Indian developments with regard to trends and opportunities in the food processing industries. “The conference will identify and find redressal of the challenges facing the industry across states, in particular Andhra Pradesh. With an encouraging international participation at the conclave, the knowledge may enrich and help to address the important issues,” S Sivakumar, chief executive (Agri Business Division) of ITC Ltd, and Programme Chair of Food 360 degrees said. The conclave will bring together over 600 professionals who are into the business of agriculture / food processing domain in India and overseas. The Andhra Pradesh Government and the Central Government are in a bid to deliberate on issues confronting the industry across various states. The business sessions at the conclave will cover the entire gamut of Agribusiness — more specifically on the subjects like Fisheries, Horticulture and Dairy. The common themes could be on quality food, sustainable agriculture, packaging, avenues for financing and technologies are important sessions will also be covered.
