CHENNAI: Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on Sunday greeted Akhilesh Yadav on his party’s thumping electoral win and said she would depute senior party leaders to attend his swearing in.In an official release here, the State government said the CM spoke to Akhilesh on the phone and greeted him for being all set to take over as Uttar Pradesh’s youngest chief minister. “When Akhilesh sought her blessings, she told him that her blessings would go with him always.”Jayalalithaa told Akhilesh that he had now been entrusted with the huge responsibility of chief ministership. People had great expectations from him and she hoped that he would fulfil their aspirations with their support coupled with the blessings of God.Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav spoke to the CM and invited her for the swearing in ceremony of his son on March 15.Expressing her desire to participate in the function, Jayalalithaa, however, told him that she could not as she was scheduled to campaign for the Sankarankoil by-poll. “She told the SP leader that she would send party MPs, M Thambidurai and V Maithreyan, on her behalf.”
