Four labourers were killed when a chimney of an under-construction brick kiln collapsed and fell on them at English Chechraun in Bihar's Bhagalpur district, police said.
All the four labourers, natives of Malda district of West Bengal, were trapped under a heap of debris on Tuesday. While two died on the spot, the rest succumbed to injuries in hospital.
The victims were identified as Rajkumar Mandal (26), Hatim Mian (35), Madan Manjhi (28) and Mohammed Shamser (38). Raids were being carried out to arrest the brick kiln owner Minhaj Alam who was absconding, police said.
