BANGALORE: Chinnu, a 3D animated Kannada rhyme collection DVD, was launched at Reliance Time Out on Monday. Film actress and president of the Karnataka Film Association, Tara, model and actress, Deepthi Mohan, Former Mr India and actor Raghuramappa were present at the event. The aim of launching the DVD was to nurture innovative ideas and also enhance knowledge among children about their surroundings.The aim was also to make children familiar with the language and culture of Karnataka. Speaking about the event Kuber, managing director of Infobells said, “We had several themes to work when we first brought out the idea of launching a 3D animated Kannada DVD. Firstly, we had to cater to the nativity of Karnataka and secondly, how to attract the children towards it. This was a platform for 20 skilled artistes to come together under one roof and give their best. This DVD is a treat for all Kannada rhyme lovers.” The organisation has worked for over six months on the project and has invested close to `20 lakh to bring out the DVD in a highly sophisticated technology.Tara seemed to be excited about the project. “We always make our children listen to English and Hindi rhymes but this is a great initiative to introduce children to the Kannada language and culture right from their tender age,” said sheShe further added, “The animated character Chinnu is most adorable.”Anuradha Bhat has rendered songs and the music is directed by Karthik.
