Kolkata: The National Investigation Agency(NIA) has chargesheeted 21 people in Burdwan blast case that took place in October 2014. According to NIA sources, the charges against the accused include criminal conspiracy and waging war against the nation.
The chargesheet is also likely to talk about connections with Bodo militant group as the people booked in the Burdwan case are linked to bomb units of Assam.
NIA on March 21 had arrested Abdul Mazeed Momin in connection with the blast from Sealdah area of Kolkata, taking the total number of those arrested to 17.
The agency had taken over the case from the West Bengal police a few days after the explosion. Investigators have found that Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) were being fabricated in the house and later smuggled to neighbouring Bangladesh.
