HYDERABAD: The Task Force police on Thursday nabbed two gangs indulging in fake voter ID cards in the city. Police also recovered 19- fake voter ID cards, 810 govt voter ID card holograms, one LCD colour monitor, one assembled CPU, one Samsung keyboard, one mouse, one 4-GB Kingston pen drive and a copy of voter list of Khairatabad Assembly constituency containing 11-pages.According to police, a gang led by Zubair Ahmed, resident of Talabkatta along with two others Abdul Raheem and Mohammed Nadeem Ahmed were arrested near Victoria Hotel at Bibi Nagar crossroads.Zubair Ahmed and associates while working as data entry operators at Jyothi Computer Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Barkatpura got acquainted with the preparation of voter ID cards as the company got outsourcing contract from the government.Soon after they left the job and while leaving took away the format of voter ID card and related software along with voter list and original holograms and rubber stamps used in the preparation of voter ID cards, without the knowledge of management.Later they started preparing fake voter ID cards by charging Rs 500 to Rs 600 to needy persons. Another gang is led by Jayaprakash, resident of Yellaredduguda, along with his associate Mohammed Mujtaba alias Mujju.Jayaprakash worked at GHMC office on a temporary basis and when he left the job took away the format and related software of voter ID cards along with the original holograms.
