HYDERABAD: The special judge for ACB cases convicted nine officials of the government ITI, Kurnool and sentenced them to oneyear rigorous imprisonment. According to an official release by the ACB, the special court for ACB cases pronounced the judgment convicting the officials- B Gopal Raju, assistant director (training), M Sudhakar Reddy, store keeper, S Pandya and Ch Ramulu, senior assistants, N Venkataiah and Ch Sudershan Goud, deputy training officers, and B Nagaraju, pharmacist, to undergo rigorous imprisonment (RI) for one year and also to pay `1,000 as fine for purchase of spurious material at exorbitant rates required for ITI Kurnool and made wrongful gain of `3.34 lakh to themselves and corresponding loss to the government exchequer.
Similarly the special court also convicted M Chenna Reddy, principal of the government ITI, Kurnool, T Narayana, senior assistant to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of one year and pay a fine of `1,000 for committing financial irregularities in the purchase of material at exorbitant rates for ITI girls, Kurnool and made wrongful gain of `7.11 lakh to themselves and corresponding loss to the government exchequer, the release said.
