HYDERABAD: A day after the Mumbai serial blasts, Task Force sleuths conducted surprise checks on Thursday at parking lots in the city. They seized more than 100 abandoned or unclaimed two-wheelers and a Honda City.The checks were conducted at private parking lots and at railway stations, bus stands and shopping areas. Vehicles parked for long and unclaimed ones were seized.According to police, 55 vehicles including a Honda City were seized from parking lots at Jubilee Bus Station, Secunderabad station, Park Lane, Begumpet and Marredpally. They were handed over to concerned police stations. Similarly, 11 vehicles were seized from Maithrivanam in Ameerpet, 14 from Gagan Mahal and 22 from parking lots at Imlibun bus stand and Kacheguda station. Fifteen vehicles were seized from Kali Khabar in the Old City.Police appealed to the public to park their vehicles in allotted parking lots and to observe their neighbourhood for abandoned vehicles.
