Go to https://discordbots.org in a web browser. Playing music in Discord requires using a Discord bot. There are plenty to choose from on this website.
Tap Music. This displays a list of bots that can be used for music-listening. Bots are listed from most to least-popular. A few popular options are MedalBot, Dank Memer, Astolfo, and Sinon.
Tap View to learn more about a bot. This display the bot’s features, as well as the commands you’ll need to use to play music. Make note of these commands so you know how to use the bot.
Tap INVITE on the bot you want to install. This opens the Discord login screen.
Sign in to Discord. Enter your username and password, then tap LOGIN. You’ll then be redirected to the bot site.
Select a server. Tap the name of the server on which you want to install the music bot.
Tap AUTHORIZE. It’s the blue button at the bottom-right corner of the screen. A CAPTCHA verification screen will appear.
Tap I’m not a robot. This adds the bot to your Discord server.
Open Discord. It’s the blueish icon with a white game controller inside. You’ll usually find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
Tap the ≡ menu. It’s at the top-left corner of the screen. A list of servers will appear.
Tap the server on which you installed the bot. A list of channels on the server will appear.
Tap a voice channel to join it. You can only listen to music on voice channels.
Type the bot’s commands to play music. The bot’s commands are listed on its page at the Discord bot website.
