How to Open the Main.Db File on Skype on PC or Mac

Open your computer's Start menu. The Start menu button looks like the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of your screen.

Enter %AppData%\Skype\\main.db into the search box. You can use your keyboard to type it, or copy and paste it from your clipboard.

Replace with your own Skype username. This will search and find the main.db file in your Skype user folder. If this search line is not working, try C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Skype\\main.db. Make sure to replace "" with your own Windows account username. As an alternative, you can search %appdata%\Skype. Here you can find and open your user folder.

Press ↵ Enter on your keyboard. This will open the main Skype database.
