Debutants Ranchi Rays won the third edition of the Hockey India League (HIL) defeating Punjab Warriors 3-2 in a penalty shootout in the final.

Ranchi Rays reached the final of the third edition of the Hockey India League by defeating Uttar Pradesh Wizards.

Delhi Waveriders and Uttar Pradesh Wizards engaged in a tough brawl, where the match concluded in a 2-2 draw.

In the previous clash between the two teams, defending Champions Delhi Waveriders had made a brilliant comeback to hold Lancers to a draw.

It is a repeat of last year's final of the Hockey India League (HIL) where the Waveriders defeated the Warriors to claim the title.
