Mourinho suggested Milan have been helped by being awarded soft penalties.

New Delhi: AC Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has responded to Jose Mourinho's penalty provocation but rather than hit-back, the bald headed chief has decided not to take the bait.

Inter coach Mourinho hit out at the Rossoneri and he suggested they have been helped on a number of occasions by being awarded soft penalties, such as the one against Siena in midweek, which resulted in Milan taking maximum points from the Toscani.

"When Milan were in difficulty and they didn't get these penalties to win I used to think they were a great side and I have never boasted about my team unlike others," Mourinho told Sky Sport Italia.

Galliani heard the Portuguese's words and wasted no time in replying. However, the Rossoneri chief was modest and careful with his words as he preferred not to get entangled in a verbal spat with the 'Special One'.

"I have always like Mourinho," Galliani told Calciomercato.com

"I know the press are trying to provoke me into reacting to his words because the media want fireworks between Milan and Inter this weekend. However, I will not fall for it."

Galliani's reaction is unlike him as he is usually quick to begin waving his fists. The Rossoneri clash with Napoli on Sunday night as they attempt to go top of the table.
