The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) results for the December 2023 session are slated to be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) tomorrow, January 17. NTA administered the UGC NET December 2023 exam from December 6 to December 19, 2023, in 83 subjects across 292 Indian cities. According to the commission, a total of 9,45,918 candidates appeared for the exam. Candidates can visit nta.ac.in and ugcnet.nta.ac.in, the official websites, to view the results of the UGC NET December 2023.
Candidates must input their login information, including application numbers and birth dates, on the portal to download their UGC NET results. The results of the UGC NET for December 2023 were originally supposed to be announced on January 10. The announcement of the results was delayed due to a re-examination scheduled for students who were unable to attend the originally planned exam due to flooding and harsh conditions created by Cyclone Michaung in Chennai and the state of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the official website, “NTA announced in the information bulletin that the result of UGC – NET December 2023 will be declared on January 10, 2024, but due to a Natural Calamity (Michaung) in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh, a re-exam was conducted in the interest of candidates. Therefore, the final result of the aforementioned examination will be declared on January 17, 2024, on the website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.”
UGC NET December 2023 session Result:How To Check
Step 1: Visit ugcnet.nta.ac.in, the official website.
Step 2: Navigate to the homepage and select the UGC NET Result 2024 link.
Step 3: Applicants will be prompted to input their date of birth, UGC NET application number, and their given security pin on the portal.
Step 4: After clicking the submit button, the screen will display the UGC NET Result 2023.
Step 5: Download the results for the UGC NET 2023 and print it out for your records.
On January 3, NTA published the provisional answer key for the UGC NET December 2023, and the objection period was open until January 5.
Candidates must carefully review their scorecards after the UGC NET results are announced to ascertain whether they meet the requirements for an Assistant Professorship or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). In compliance with the marking scheme, each correct response will be awarded two marks while the incorrect answers shall not lead to any mark deduction.
