Anna University, Tamil Nadu, has extended the deadline for the online application process for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2024) for admission into MBA and MCA programmes offered by various institutions and colleges across Tamil Nadu. Interested candidates who are yet to apply can register through the official website of Anna University at tancet.annauniv.edu until February 12. It is to be noted that the aforementioned exam is scheduled to be held on March 9 in two shifts.
The TANCET Master of Computer Application (MCA) will be held from 10:00 AM to 12 and the exam for the TANCET Master of Business Administration (MBA) will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Along with the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2024), the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA PG 2024) registration date has also been deferred by the university. It is important to note that the CEETA PG 2024 exam will take place on March 10 from 10 AM to 12 PM.
TANCET 2024: Here’s How To Apply
Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official TANCET website at tancet.annauniv.edu to apply for the MBA and MCA programmes.
Step 2: Search for and tap on the registration link available on the portal.
Step 3: Enter the required details, such as your name, contact information, and email ID, to complete the registration form.
Step 4: Log in using the credentials and proceed with the application form.
Step 5: Fill out the necessary personal and academic details in the form.
Step 6: Scan and upload the documents in the mentioned format and pay the prescribed application fees.
Step 7: Cross-check the details before submitting, and save a copy of the confirmation page.
Step 8: Take a hard copy of the application form for future use.
TANCET 2024: Application fee
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Special Central Assistance (SCA) of Tamil Nadu are required to pay Rs 500 as a registration fee at the time of application for the TANCET MCA and TANCET MBA programmes, whereas other category applicants will have to pay Rs 1000.
The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2024) examination will be conducted offline. Talking about the exam pattern, the TANCET question paper will consist of 100 questions with each question carrying one mark. Furthermore, a one-third mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. Candidates should note that the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test will be held for a duration of two hours.
