The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to roll out the schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET PG) counselling process 2024 soon. Once the counselling schedule is made public, candidates who are willing to participate in the NEET PG 2024 counselling procedure will be able to check it by visiting the official website of MCC, which is mcc.nic.in.
On October 14, the national president of the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA), Lakshya Mittal, took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared the counselling procedure’s tentative schedule. As per his post, the tentative schedule for NEET PG 2024 counselling is likely to be updated within the next 2-3 days.
His tweet reads, “UPDATE: #NEETPG 2024 counselling: The NEET-PG 2024 tentative counselling schedule is expected to be updated within the next 2-3 days. We urge all aspirants to stay tuned for further updates. All the best.”

It is to be noted that the schedule will be issued in PDF format and will carry information such as important dates for registration, seat allotment rounds, choice filling and reporting dates to the allotted institute.
Earlier, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) started the registration process for the 1st round of postgraduate medical counselling on September 20. However, there is no announcement about the detailed schedule. Once the schedule is made public, candidates will be able to mark their choices for college/course on the official MCC website to participate in the counselling for NEET PG 2024.
NEET PG 2024: Counselling Procedure
Based on previous trends, the NEET PG 2024 counselling is expected to take place in four phases, i.e., round 1, round 2, the mop-up round and the AIQ stray round. Once the registration procedure is done, the exam authority will issue the seat allocation results. Following that, applicants will be allowed to fill in their choices of colleges/courses within the stipulated time.

–Admit Card issued by NBE.
–Result/Rank Letter issued by NBE.
–Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.
–MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate.
The NEET PG counselling is conducted for candidates seeking admission to All India Quota (AIQ) seats in Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and postgraduate diploma programmes.
