This year 2,25,335 candidates had registered for the CSIR UGC NET exam, out of which 1,63,529 appeared in the exam. The result will be announced by October 15.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the result of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) 2024 by October 15. CSIR took to microblogging site X to inform about the tentative result date and time.

After the result is released, students can check the CSIR UGC NET 2024 result by visiting the official website csirnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates will need their application number and date of birth to check the score. Note that no hard copy of the scorecard or any copy will be sent through email.

This year 2,25,335 candidates had registered for the CSIR UGC NET exam, out of which 1,63,529 appeared in the exam. The exam was conducted on July 25, 26, and 27, 2024 across 187 cities. Earlier, this exam was to be held from June 25 to 27, but on June 21, NTA announced the postponement of the exam due to some unavoidable reasons and “logistic issues”.

After the CSIR UGC NET answer key and correction exam, NTA released the provisional answer key on August 8, 2024, after which the final answer key with necessary corrections was released on September 11, 2024.

CSIR UGC NET 2024 Result: How To Check?

Step 1: Visit the csirnet.nta.ac.in – CSIR official website.

Step 2: From the homepage, select the “CSIR UGC NET 2024 Results” link.

Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page, enter the necessary information and submit.

Step 4: The CSIR UGC NET Result 2024 will show up on the screen.

Step 5: Download and print the CSIR UGC NET Result 2024 for your records.

Candidates, belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC categories, must score at least 33 per cent, while candidates from the SC, ST, and PWD categories must score at least 25 per cent to qualify for the CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam.

The Joint CSIR-UGC NET is held every year to assess eligibility for various academic and research opportunities for Indian citizens. Through this exam, candidates can qualify for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and the post of Assistant Professor, as well as admission to various PhD programmes.
