There has been a trend among civil servants to create social media reels during their work hours. A reel made by a PCS officer named Swati Gupta recently gained widespread attention online. Swati Gupta is a PCS officer from the 2017 batch and is currently serving as an Executive Officer in the Panchayati Raj Department. She successfully passed the UPPSC exam on her first attempt. In her role, she oversees the budget, spending, and construction activities within the Panchayats. Swati’s father, Chitra Kumar, a teacher, played a significant role in her education and encouraged her to pursue a career as an officer. She has two brothers, one of whom is a doctor, while her mother is a homemaker.
PCS officer Swati Gupta completed her schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) and pursued the science stream in class 12th. According to her LinkedIn profile, she earned a BTech in Computer Science from Vidya College of Engineering. She later obtained an MTech in Computer and Information System Security from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical Women’s University, Delhi. Preparing for the PCS/UPSC exams was challenging for her due to the extensive humanities syllabus. However, she eventually sought coaching in Delhi to better understand and prepare for the exams.
Swati Gupta, a PCS officer from the 2017 batch, successfully passed the UPSC Mains exam once but was not selected during the interview stage. Following this, she passed the Uttar Pradesh PCS exams twice, in 2017 and 2018. In addition to these achievements, she also cleared the PGT Computer Science exam, the IB Assistant Central Intelligence Officer exam, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission Administrative Service Exam, the Mandi Inspector Exam, and the PCS Forest Officer exam. Swati Gupta encourages girls to work hard to achieve their dreams and to gain their parents’ support. She mentioned that actress Priyanka Chopra and motivational speaker BK Shivani are her role models.
