Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Yojana is the scheme started by the Uttar Pradesh government to provide quality education to the children of registered construction workers in the age group of 6 to 14 years. The facilities of primary, junior high school and secondary education will be provided to such children. Initially, the residential school scheme will be operated in districts Etawah, Bhadohi, Kannauj, Moradabad, Firozabad, Lalitpur, Bahraich, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Azamgarh, Agra and Meerut. Admission to class 6 in Atal Residential Schools of Azamgarh is now open.
The students will be selected who were born between May 1, 2012 and July 31, 2014. Apart from this, only those students will be eligible for admission in class 9 who were born between May 1, 2009 and July 31, 2011.
The children of those workers who have registered themselves as construction workers before December 31, 2023, and have completed three years as construction workers will be eligible for admission. Apart from this, registered construction workers should not have more than two children.
Only children who lost their parents during the Corona period will be considered eligible under the orphan category. It will be mandatory for such children to be registered with the Women and Child Welfare Department. The admission provides the reservation for 27 per cent OBC, 21 per cent for Scheduled Caste and two per cent Scheduled Tribe candidates in the total seats in Atal Residential School.
The parents of the children must have a photocopy of the registration certificate. They also must possess proof of deposit of contribution.
The process of taking admission to Atal Residential School will be done completely through offline mode. Children who want to be admitted to this school can apply by taking the application form from the District Probation Officer Women and Child Welfare Department. You must fill out the application form with your required information. Interested candidates must attach their required documents to the application form while submitting it in the office.
After applying, children will have to take the entrance exam. Students who pass the entrance exam will get admission only based on merit list and counselling. The students will get free accommodation, clothing, food and other facilities available.
