Batting first, DC were kept to 153/9 in 20 overs thanks to Varun Chakaravarthy’s superb spell in which he took three wickets and gave just 16 runs.
DC top-order failed and it took no.9 Kuldeep Yadav’s unbeaten 35 off 26 to take them to a respectable total. However, it wasn’t enough as KKR overhauled the target with ease riding on a quickfire half-century from opener Phil Salt (68 off 33).
KKR’s next IPL clash will be with Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.
