Mahendra Singh Dhoni smashed bowlers all over the park with an unbeaten 28 off just 9 balls as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) posted 176/6 from their 20 over against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday.

Dhoni slammed a four and a six off Mohsin before smashing Thakur for another maximum. He finished the innings with two more fours as 19 came off the last over.
MSD played his usual hits and even brought the unusual shot as he lofted the short ball from Mohsin Khan for a maximum. The boeler landed it outside off as MS Dhoni premeditated it and walked across his stumps early. He swivelled in the crease and glided the ball over the keeper.

Dhoni walked out to bat with a deafening roar and the score reading 142/6 after 18 overs for CSK. MSD kicked off with a one-bounce four through extra cover, a most un-Dhoni-like six over the keeper’s head after walking across the stumps as Mohsin was bowling very wide of the crease.

CSK were 157 for 6 after 19, with 15 from the 19th over. The 19-run last over from Yash Thakur propelled CSK to 176 for 6 after Dhoni powered his way for 16 runs in the last four deliveries after just three runs came from the first two. Jadeja remained unbeaten on 57 in 40 deliveries with Dhoni scoring 28 in just nine deliveries.
