Tejpreet Singh Chopra to head GE India
GE appoints Tejpreet Singh Chopra as President & Chief Executive Officer for India succeeding Scott R Bayman.

New Delhi: General Electric Company (GE) on Monday announced the appointment of Tejpreet Singh Chopra (TP Chopra) to the position of President & CEO for GE in India.

Chopra will succeed Scott R Bayman, who has served as President & CEO for 14 years.

I am happy to have been a part of GE's growth journey in India and am confident that under TP Chopra's leadership, GE in India will move towards achieving greater heights", GE in India outgoing President & CEO Scott R Bayman said.

TP Chopra will be responsible for the strategic and overall leadership of all GE businesses in India.

Chopra is currently the President and CEO of GE Commercial Finance, India.

Since joining GE in 1996, he has held positions in marketing, structured finance and risk management, at Stamford and Hong Kong for GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS).

A graduate from St Stephen's College, Delhi University and Cornell University, with degrees in Economics and an MBA respectively, Chopra held various business roles in France, England, Hong Kong, India and USA.

With over 20 years of experience, Chopra takes up the position of President & CEO, GE in India with effect from 01 June 2007, reporting directly to Ferdinando Beccalli-Falco, President & Chief Executive Officer, GE International.
