Mumbai: Tracking the global trend, the benchmark BSE Sensex crashed by 250.69 points in early trade on Friday as most of the blue-chip stocks moved in the red on heavy selling.
The Sensex, dropped by 250.69 points at 10025.19 in the first five minutes of trade.
Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty lost 74.55 points at 2920.20.
The major puller indices were Larsen and Toubro, Reliance Industries, Infosys, Bajaj Auto, Grasim, HDFC, BHEL, Tata Consultancy, ONGC, ACC, Reliance Energy, Satyam Computer, Hero Honda and SBI.
