New Delhi: Supreme Court (SC) has in one of it's rare indictments has slammed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for the shoddy investigation into the multi-crore 2G spectrum scam on Friday. The apex court has asked the central investigation agency as to how much time will it take to complete its investigation.
"You have done nothing. The nature of complaint is serious. One year has gone by. You are doing a slipshod investigation. You are dragging your feet. How long will you take to complete the investigation, another 10 years?," said Justice Ganguly.
"We want to know the Solicitor General's response on what has happened to Dr Subramanyam Swamy's petition to the Prime Minister in 2G Spectrum scam," said Ganguly.
"Will take another six months to complete the investigation," CBI told to Supreme Court.
The CBI defended Union Telecom Minister A Raja, saying the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) comments were draft comments and the CAG is preparing its final report which is to be tabled in Parliament.
The CBI while defending the alleged accused Telecom Minister A Aaja has asked has for another six months to complete the investigation.
"You are investigating 2G Scam and he is still a minister, do you apply the same yardstick to other departments," said Justice Ganguly told to CBI.
