Even as India is going to have a long weekend on account of the Independence Day (August 15) and Raksha Bandhan (August 19), Airbnb has recorded a sharp jump in travel interest. According to the latest search data, there has been a staggering 340 per cent year-on-year increase in domestic searches for Airbnb stays during this extended break.
Top destinations include Goa, Lonavala, Puducherry, Mumbai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Udaipur, reflecting a strong preference for beach getaways, hill stations, and cultural hubs.
